Farmyard
Friends
Farmyard
Friends are farm animal visits that are offered to smaller facilities
and centres that may not have the numbers to support a full Farm
to You visit. In a commitment to ensuring your organisation,
be it a playgroup, small childcare centre, or special needs class,
can afford a program that brings the wonders of farm animals into
the classroom, we have developed a specialised "mini"
visit of one hour's duration that provides a limited variety of
smaller animals and poultry
Educational
These visits feature small animals and a collection of poultry
that are displayed in carry-cages or tethered on leads, and visit
your facility for an hour only. Staff and teachers are encouraged
to participate in this program and because there are no set-up
and pull-down times, costs can be reduced. It is essential that
an enclosed area is available so that animals are safe and secure.
The full range of animals is not available but the variety is
still considerable and these visits can compliment other activities
on your program.
Non-educational
"Farmyard
Friends" is also the name given to limited or non-educational
visits offered by farm animal resource management. These visits
are suitable for nursing homes, special groups, birthday parties,
small fundraising events, playgroups and holiday programs. Such
visits feature a restricted range of animals and a collection
of feathered friends that will bring fun and laughter to any facility
or function. Rates are very reasonable as no trailer or set-up
time is required. Visits last for an hour and repeat visits are
at a reduced rate - this allows small organisations to cover more
than one class or group.
Bright idea!
If you are a small organisation please consider joining another
similar group or facility in booking your visit so that costs
can be shared and the more appropriate "Farmyard Friends"
program can be offered. If you are a small pre-school, contact
the local primary school and invite kindergarten and the junior
classes to attend, if you are close to other centres organise
a "mini" excursion to your centre while the farm animals
are on display.
Contact
us and discuss how we can provide you with an affordable and
appropriate visit to your centre. Remember repeat visits are at
a reduced rate and allow you the scope to give each group or class
an opportunity to enjoy contact with our hand-reared, very sociable
farmyard friends!
