Celebrating 15 years

of award-winning, farm animal displays!

Wonderful news on the farm.......the littlest farmer has a new baby sister!

With due ceremony, Molly Jane arrived just in time for Christmas, and the littlest farmer thinks she is the best Christmas present in the "whole world", but she was quite sure Santa didn't have much to do with it. For months she had been checking out mummy's growing tummy and referred to the contents on a daily basis as "cellsie". Some confusion arose when we started calving and lambing in late spring, but the littlest farmer stuck to her beliefs and declared to all that the baby would be a girl and she would be a "big sister". There was considerable amusement in both houses when she started practicing nappy changing with her favourite toy....a black and white cow. When all was revealed and she met her baby sister for the first time, it was instant love. Lets hope this continues through school, teenage years and adulthood. On the possibility of her sibling being a boy....not a chance and she was adamant that there would be "no brothers in mine house...just gels".

Maternity leave will see a whole year of the family being next door every day, so I have a lot to look forward to and I know we will undertake some new adventures with both girls in tow. Molly did her first stint in the sheep yards today...sleeping in her pram while we drenched all the sheep and drafted off the young weaners. Only 6 weeks old, not bad.

We are about to undertake a major revamp of our website...it has done a great job for us over the years, but we are re-focussing some of our enterprises and want to make the site more user friendly and a means of communicating effectively with our clients, friends and fellow businesses.

2012 is the Year of the Farmer here in Australia and the following year is the Centenary of the founding of Canberra as our National Capital - two milestones that we will recognise in our displays.

Following the successful launch of our wool label, we have decided to include information on Bindareelan Wool in the development of the website....so watch this space...."Snippets" will be joined by a regular column/blog called "The Yarn".

So be patient, keep in touch and hopefully the "new" look will be sooner rather than later!

Take care and God Bless.

Regards ...................FJ
